September 30, 2021     Last Thursday I went to my MMUN Internship. For my internship, I work with Upper Elementary students (4th-6th grade) and I help them get prepared for the Montessori Model United Nations (MMUN) conference, which will be held in February. This week the students I am helping, needed to be sorted into their topics and committee rooms so that they can start research on their topics and countries. I volunteered to do this for my supervisor so she could focus on the other things that needed to get done. I prepared a form that listed all the topics and their descriptions for the students. I had them pick their top three topic choices so that I can sort them into groups based on their topic choices. When I got their forms back I started working on sorting them all into their topics and committee sections, with the other interns that I work with. This process was quite difficult, because some topics did not have enough people that chose them, so some student...

These past two weeks I have started work on the Student Ambassador program at my high school. I was elected to be the Vice president of the program. We have currently had two meetings so far. In those meetings, we have talked about our plans for the program and introduced all the new and old members to what the program is, what our plans are for this year, and the things and events they can take a part in as an ambassador. As vice-president of the program, I did help with explaining those different topics. I will also be overseeing the middle school ambassadors in this program. Right now the other ambassador officers and I are preparing for the upcoming in-person open house that is going to be in October. All the officers, including me, are working on getting all the slides deck together and assigning people to present all of the slide decks. Working together on this makes the process a lot more efficient and that way everyone can make their speech the way that they ...

This weekend I helped people powerwash their driveways. My dad and two of my neighbors really needed their driveways washed. My dad taught me how to set up the powerwasher and how it works, so I now know how to do that. Then on Saturday morning, I worked on power washing my dad's driveway. I tried out the different settings on the powerwasher to see which of them worked best. I started off with the 15 cm spetting, which was very good at getting all the dirt off. I then tried the 45 cm spetting which also worked at getting the dirt off, however, it was not as good as the 15 cm setting. I decided to use the 15 cm setting because it got more of the dirt out, so I would get a better end result. Using the powerwasher was kind of difficult because it takes some getting used to at first. After the first few minutes, I did get used to it and the rest of the driveway was relatively easy to do. On Saturday afternoon I started working on my neighbor's driveway. I ...
