S LO#7

 This week at my MMUN  (Montessori Model United Nations) internship with the upper elementary students, we were working on their speeches. We just finished the student's position papers so it is now time to work on the speeches that they will be presenting to their committee room. When I got to the room my internship supervisor, Ms. Sood, asked me to time each of the student speeches. When they are at the actual Montessori Model United Nations Conference their speeches are only allowed to be 1 minute long, so as an intern it is part of my job to make sure that they are staying under that 1-minute limit. the students were presenting in front of each other in order to practice saying a speech in front of other people. Since I was timing I considered whether or not I should share the times of each person's speech. I decided against this because I thought that since this is a younger age group (9-11 years old) some students would not like or be able to handle the possible embarras...

C LO#2

During Christmas break, I tried out a different ramen recipe. Cooking, in general, is not one of my favorite activities, because it can be very time-consuming, challenging, and is just not one of my strong areas. I like cooking ramen because it is pretty simple and quick, but I don't like using the seasoning packets because it is always pretty bland to me, so I always try to add different things to the ramen. I looked up a recipe online that I thought would taste good and I found one that had a brown sugar soy sauce so I decided to try it. The recipe only had instructions for the sauce and ramen, but I decided to add bell peppers and other vegetables to the ramen to make it better. I think that the ramen turned out very good, but since it is so quick it can be quite challenging to handle the timing of everything.
